Weekend in Copenhagen for Siv's 60th

We're just back from a weekend in Copenhagen to celebrate Siv's 60th. We arrived Thursday night and stayed at the Comfort Hotel Vesterbro
On Friday we went for a walk down to Nyhavn onto Broens Gadekøkken for lunch. Carrying on our walk we stopped for a drink at Sofie Kælderen by the canal, where we headed back to in the evening.
On Saturday we headed to the Central Station and got a train to Helsingør, to visit the Kronborg Castle, and a walk around the town. We had a very nice lunch of some open sandwiches at the Culture Yard before heading back to town (where we bumped into an anti covid restrictions march). In the evening we had a simple dinner from Uludag kebab before heading back to Sofie Kælderen for a drink.
On Sunday We went for a walk to Vestre Kirkegård cemetery to walk down its 'tree alley'. Heading back to town we decided to walk through the legendary Christiania Freetown (which was a lot more quaint than you would have thought) before stopping off for a drink in Cafe Oven Vande. After all the walking we decided to have a night in with a simple take away from Uludag kebab again.
Monday was a travelling day home after a lovely weekend away. A few photos from our weekend are below, the rest are here:
