West Ham v Leicester

We went to West Ham on a Friday night to see them play Leicester. Not a brilliant game of football, but a fun night out with Paul's colleague Sergio from Argentina tagging along. We headed back to The Builder's Arms for a couple of drinks after the game.

Roger's 50th Birthday Party

We went on the Queen Elizabeth for a cruise down the Thames for Roger's 50th Birthday. He'd hired Scam 69 to provide the music,as it was the same boat that The Sex Pistols did their infamous river cruise all those years ago. A great night, with a lot of laughs, and Roger raising a lot of money for Parkinson's disease research by getting his head shaved. A few photos are below, the rest are here:

Weekend with Siw, Onkel and Inger

We've had a full on weekend with Siw Onkel and Inger. On Saturday, we went to West Ham to see West Ham lose to Liverpool. On Sunday, we did some shopping and had a spot of lunch in Valentine's Park in the chilly Autumn sun. On Monday we headed up town for some dinner in Covent Garden at The Crown and Anchor, before going to watch Motown - The Musical, which was great fun.

Back from holiday in Sarasota

Siv and I are just back from 2 weeks in Sarasota for a sunny break. Despite some strange weather (very cool mornings of 10c, and very strong wind on some days), we still had a great time going to all our favourite places, as well as some new ones.
We discovered the Beach Bar at Manatee beach on Anna Marie Island, is a great place to watch the sunset, with drinks, food and live music.
We also headed up to Orlando to visit Heather and Steve who we met at Megan's Wedding in March. We stayed overnight at their lovely house in Winter Park, and took a trip to downtown Florida on the first night, and a guided tour of the lakes on the second day.
A selection of photos are below, but all of them are here:
