At home for New Year

We had Mum, Russell, Liv and Richard around for dinner on New Year's eve. A fun evening with lots of chatting and watching the fireworks in the street and on TV.

We Spent Xmas in Elnesvågen with Siv's family. It was a fairly relaxing time, though quite a bit of the first week was spent clearing snow. A few photos are below, the rest are here:

Weekend in Oslo to Watch Hedda's Xmas Cheerleading

We took a quick weekend trip to Oslo to visit the family and see Hedda take part in her team's Xmas display. A fun weekend with everyone despite the cold. A few photos are below, the rest are here:

Snow in Newbury Park

We had some pretty heavy snow tonight, came as a bit of a surprise after the foggy/frosty day!

It was a foggy and frosty start to the day today. So we walked into Ilford to do a bit of shopping and stopped off in Valentine's Park at the Cottage Garden Cafe for a lunch which we bravely had outside.

 

The Blockheads at PowerHaus

A large group of us went to Camden to see The Blockheads who have started touring again. We met at The Camden Eye for a few drinks before heading off to see the band at PowerHaus (formerly Dingwalls). The band were very good once they got going with guest vocalists Lee Thompson and Tom Hingley. After the gig we went to The Elephant's Head for a quick drink before heading home.

Walk from Kentish Town to Hackney Wick

We went for a long winter Walk, starting at The Fields Beneath in Kentish Town for a coffee, before walking along The Regent's Canal to Coal Drops Yard to see their Xmas tree. We finally ended up in The Three Johns for a drink in Islington before heading home.
