Bank Holiday Weekend - Building a planter

It was a bit of a gloomy Bank Holiday Weekend this weekend, but Siv and I did get out long enough to build a planter in the back garden, made from the shell of the bench we put up a couple of years ago. We went out on Monday to buy some small trees to plant in it, and while we were putting them in, this small bluetit started feening near us.

Ingvild and Jose visiting

Ingvild and Jose were over as well this weekend, playing a couple of rounds of golf at local courses. Both Saturday and Sunday we were able to have a barbecue due to the warm weather, especially Sunday when we sat out till nearly midnight!

Sunny weekend in the Garden

A heatwave hit the UK this weekend, so we were able to get out in the garden and enjoy the sun.

Siv's lunch at the Oxo Tower

Siv met up with Fi and Anne at The Oxo Tower on Saturday for lunch. As it happened, Cathrine was over from Oslo on a girlie weekend in London, so they all met up for drinks and something to eat.

Lisa in her London outfits

Look how lovely Lisa looks in her new outfits from London. Believe it or not the snow picture was taken during May, not December as you might think! The middle picture is taken from 17th May celebrations, and the bottom picture is when she attended a confirmation recently.

Le Pont de La Tour dinner

As it was Russell and Mum's birthdays earlier in the week, the whole family went out for dinner at Le Pont de La Tour, a very nice restaurant next to the Thames and Tower bridge. Everyone had a very nice time, and even the weather was kind for our walk back to the tube stations.
We even saw some stars! Sitting down the restaurant from us were writer of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Richard Curtis along with actor and daughter of The Magic Roundabout maestro Eric Thompson, Emma Thompson. This was about the best shot Siv could get without being TOO intrusive, they were having dinner after all!

Trip to Kirton

We spent the weekend with Karin, James and the kids in Kirton (with Rosie too!). It was very relaxing, despite despite the weather not being marvellous! On the Saturday, we went for a long walk, passing some small ponies (the small brown and white one is Clyde). Rosie got very wet and muddy and had great fun! In the evening we went to a Chinese restaurant for a very nice buffet, before coming home Sunday after lunch.
