Trip to Kirton

We drove up to Kirton to see Karin, James, Nori, Eirik and new member of the family - Rosie! On the Saturday we went to Bicker village hall for an Xmas market...but sadly didn't win anything in the raffle. We had an excellent (slightly belated) Thanksgiving dinner, which was excellent (if I do say so myself, as I helped make the stuffing).

On Sunday, we went out and did a bit of shopping before going for a very nice pub lunch in Frampton at The Moore's Arms, before going home and taking Rosie for a walk over the fields. Rosie loved running around, and seemed to dive in every puddle she could!!

Here's Rosie!

Motörhead, The Damned and Girlschool at the Cliffs Pavillion

10 of us went to the Cliffs Pavillion in Westcliff to see Motörhead, supported by The Damned and Girlschool.

After a couple of drinks in the bar, we watched Girlschool do a 30 minute set, then after a short break The Damned came on and did a storming 45 minutes. A few of us piled down the front 'mosh' area for the final song of 'Smash it up', which was lively but good natured. Captain Sensible carried on playing after the rest of the band had left, and was eventually carried off by a roadie endeavoring to keep to the tight schedule for Motörhead to do their set!

After about 30 minutes or re-organising Motörhead came on to the tradional "we're Motörhead and we play rock 'n' roll!" by Lemmy. After that was about 90 minutes of very heavy metal, including one of the longest drum solos I've ever seen (the film below has 4 minutes, which is about half of it!).

All in all a good night out!
Down in the mosh pit for 'Smash it Up' by The Damned.
Captain Sensible gets his marching orders, and is carried away when he doesn't stop playing!

Siv's girlie night in

With all of us up in Hull. Siv, Fi and Harvey went to stay over with Anne, Christopher and Matthew. Harvey wan't too keen on going to bed, but eventually conked out on Siv's lap.

Night out in Hull

After the game and something to eat, we all went out for the night, going to a few bars before eventually ending up in Rumours bar, where some of us had a bit of a dance around.

Hull v West Ham Football Match

At the game itself, a very strange result, with West Ham managing to throw away a 2-0 lead, but eventually got a draw, followed by a long cold walk back to Hull town centre

We came back via The Humber Bridge.

Very lo-fi cameraphone footage of David Attenborough doing a signing at Waterstone's bookshop in Leadenhall Market, when I was out at lunchtime.

Siv's night in at home with friends

Siv was back visiting her Mum and Brother in Molde recently, and had a bit of a girlie night in at the flat. Here's a few photos she took, though with all of the people coming and going through the evening, not everyone is recorded here, with Eva Karin, Ann-Synnov and Marie missing,
