Barcelona - Last day

We had another stroll down to the beach Sunday morning, walking past Mariscal's lobster to see the surfers on the beach (see the end of the videos for that), and having a chilly coffee sitting by the beach at Buenas Migas.

Barcelona - Saturday night out

On Saturday night, we went for a stroll around The Gothic Quarter, stopping off for some cocktails at Las Cuevas del Sorte, made by the friendly barman Alexandros.

Barcelona - Parc Güell

During the day on Saturday, we headed up to Parc Güell again, to look around parts of the park we haven't seen on our previous visits. While sitting at the top we saw a family with some very cute puppies!

Barcelona - Friday night out

We went for a stroll in the evening, stopping off for a drink at a bar in a passage way through a building!

Barcelona - Parc de La Ciutadella

In the afternoon, while heading back to our hotel, we walked through the Parc de La Ciutadella with its impressive fountain, and mammoth!

Barcelona - A walk on the beach

With the weather being mild and warm, we headed down to the beach for a stroll along the boardwalk at Barceloneta.

Barcelona trip - Breakfast

Siv and I arrived late Friday night in Barcelona. We got up early Friday morning, and went to the Santa Caterina market where we had a very nice breakfast at Bar l'univers.

Liverpool Trip - The pubs

While in Liverpool, we checked out a number of the local pubs, including The Ship and Mitre, Thomas Rigby's, The White Star, The Lion (where we got excellent pork pies) and before the game The Sandon.

Liverpool trip - Out in the evening

In the evening we headed to the Matthew Street area of the City centre, where everybody seems to go (walking past, but not going into the legendary Cavern Club. We ended up in flares nightclub at the end, where some of us got well into the 70's groove! We eventually got cabs home about 1.30am, and had a nightcap in the hotel bar, before finally going to bed after a long day!

Liverpool trip - The game

The lowlight of the trip! West Ham's awful performance at Anfield, losing 3-0...The West Ham fans started turning a bit nasty against manager Avram Grant! After the game, we walked back to the hotel before changing to go out in the evening.
