West Ham v Man Utd - The last game at The Boleyn Ground

After 112 years, it is finally time for West Ham to leave The Boleyn Ground, and they did it in style with a win over Manchester United. A great night out (if ending rather late due to the delayed kickoff!). A selection of photos and a video are below, all the photos are here:

Nice weather to be out in the garden

Some unseasonably warm weather meant we were able to be out in the garden doing some tidying up and enjoying the wildlife that came visiting.

Goldfinch outside our house

Managed to get a photo of one of the Goldfinches nesting in the Red Robin bush in our front garden.

Walk over Valentine's Park

It was a sunny day, so we went over Valentine's Park for a walk and had coffee and cake in the Cottage Garden Cafe. The first warm day of the year really!

Feast of St. George

I went to Central London, to see The Feast of St. George in Trafalgar Square. A lot of food and drink stalls, with brass bands and women on stilts waving flags....rather unusual! From there I walked through St. James's Park, Westminster and onto The South Bank (where there were lots of screens showing the Shakespeare 400 event), eventually making back to St. Pauls to take some photos from the roof terrace of 1 New Change.

I walked past the large Damien Hirst charity sculpture at lunchtime, it's pretty big! 

Up town photographing The Gherkin

Today Frankie sent us a message asking for some photos of The Gherkin with reflections of adjacent buildings. So we jumped on the tube and headed up town to take some photos that fit what she wanted. They didn't come out too bad, the whole album of 'arty' shots is here:
