Bury St Edmunds - Bury St Edmunds v Hornchurch and another night out....

Saturday afternoon we went to watch Hornchurch beat Bury St Edmunds 4 - 1 at football...though some of us didn't see all of the game as we were watching rugby in the club house! After the game we went on for a curry at The Valley Connection, before moving onto the The Grapes to watch The Company play a good set of rock covers.

Bury St Edmunds - Greene King brewery tour

We went to the Greene King brewery at lunchtime for a brewery tour by a very good tour guide Maureen. After an hour or so touring the building we went to the bar for a few tasters.

Saturday in Bury St Edmunds

Saturday morning we headed into Bury St Edmunds...having a drink at The Nutshell, the smallest pub in the UK with their famous mumified cat hanging above the bar. Apparently cats were walled up to keep away evil spirits! We also met Curry the cobbler - 5th generation of a load of old cobblers!!

Bury St Edmunds - The Selecter gig

We moved onto The Apex venue to see a gig by The Selecter, which was very enjoyable with the whole place bouncing by the end.

Bury St Edmunds - The Beerhouse and The Old Cannon

A group of us went to Bury St Edmunds for a weekend, starting off with a few drinks in The Beerhouse and The Old Cannon pubs.

20 Years at DNB!

Yes, today is my 20th anniversatry at DNB....not that I've changed much at all....

Staying with Cathrine and Ståle

Over the weekend, we stayed with Cathrine, Ståle, Hedda and Trym. We spent the time catching up and a trip down to the local shopping centre. On Sunday we went bowling, which was good fun! Hedda, Trym and I also spent Sunday afternoon making 3 'jingle friends' decorations.

Trip to Oslo

I was working in Oslo for a week. While there I took the chance to take some photos. There was a big demonstration in the centre of town against the change of employment laws in Oslo. I went for a walk afterwards, past the Royal Palace and up to Vigeland Park, and the famous statues, before Heading back past the statue of Sonja Henie. I also took some photos down at Bjørvika where the new DNB office are, even the bike racks are bikes there!
