Weekend with Karin, James and the kids

We're just back from a weekend in Kirton with Karin, James, Nori and Eirik (and Rosie the dog!). On Saturday James and I did some barbecuing (not exactly the weather for it!), and we chatted into the evening.  We got out Eirik's crested Gecko as well . On Sunday, we took a trip to The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Gosberton to see the flower festival. We stopped off at a hall to see some of Karin's paintings in an exhibition at St. Laurence church in Surfleet before we went on to afternoon tea at the Cley Hall Hotel, which was very pleasant!

Trip to Jo and Jonathan's

Siv and I took a trip over to see Jo, Jonathan, Daniel and Miles in Surbiton. We had a very pleasant day out in the garden (when it wasn't raining), playing with the Angry Birds, and looking at the tadpoles in the tank in the garden, as well as having a fantastic roast dinner that Jo and Jonathan made. 

Siv met up with Trudie, Woodsy, Sally, Fiona and Anne in Covent Garden. After a few drinks at The Crusting Pipe, they moved onto Cafe Pasta. It was quite a day out! I went shopping for a while with Joe and Alice, leaving the girlies in The Nag's Head.

Song Thrush in the Garden

Having cut the grass, I saw some increased activity of birds looking for food on the lawn. The winner surely has to be this Song Thrush, that was hopping about picking up more and more worms...quite a feast for the little ones I guess.

70th Birthday at party at Fjøset for Bjørn

We went to Fjøset golf course out in the country outside Oslo, to attend Siv's "Uncle" Bjørn's 70th Birthdy party. The food and drink was very good, in a very nice setting, with lots of sunshine.

 Jose never goes anywhere without his personal lighting rig.

Deer in Ståle and Cathrine's Garden

We woke up this morning to see two young deer relaxing in Ståle and Cathrine's garden. They even had time to have a sit down in the morning sun.
