Heavy snow in Oslo

While we were visiting Siv's family in Oslo, we got to see some of the heavy snow they've had this winter...it was a chilly minus 15C while we were there.

We travelled to Oslo to visit the family there for some slightly belated Xmas celebrations. As you might expect, the kids were at the centre of things.

New birds in the garden

We've had a bit of a re-organisation of bird feeders in the garden, and a slight change of position and food means we're now getting Blue Tits in the garden.

Belated Xmas celebrations

We had all of our family over today, for a belated Xmas celebration, and to open our gifts that we'd missed in December.

Grethe and Carl visit

Siv's friend Grethe paid us a visit with her new boyfriend Carl. Siv and Grethe were pleased to see each other after such a long time!

New Year's Eve party

We had Grae, Fi, Harvey, Paul, Anne, Christopher, Matthew, Mum and Dad all over for a New Year's Eve party, which ended up with some boogieing!

Boxing day visitors

Marina, Laila and Lisa paid us a visit this afternoon, having a coffee and some cake with us.

Xmas night visitors

May-Britt, Terje, Eva and Ole all came over for a few hours on Xmas night for some food and a few drinks.

Xmas presents

The tradition in Norway is to give out the gifts on the 24th, so later in the evening was a marathon 3 hour session giving out the gifts from under the Xmas tree.

After 2 hours, there were still a lot of presents left!

Xmas dinner

We had the usualXmas dinner of ribbe, with all the trimmings, with enogh veg extra for bubble and squeak the next day.

Still more ribbe to eat!On the 25th, we couldn't face a big dinner!
