Before having a walk along the Regents Canal, past London Zoo, and stopping for an excellent late lunch in Cafe La Ville.

On Sunday, the girls headed into Ilford for some shopping, stopping for a photo opportunity outside Santa's grotto.

Never mind your knees, here's the Sex Pistols

I went with Gerkin, Ironbeard and John to see The Sex Pistols at the Brixton Academy. The support band The Cribs were the support, and got a pretty good reception. In between The Cribs and The Pistols, bizarrely was DJ Goldie doing a mini set, but to be fair he was never going to be that popular!

When The Pistols came on Gerkin, Ironbeard and myself went down the front to the mosh pit for one or two songs to get the atmosphere.....and ended up staying there for the whole gig! It was pretty manic, but very good natured....and very sweaty as you can see from some of the photos!

The photos and videos were taken on a Casio S3 camera, so not very high tech, but it seems to have captured the spirit of the night in true punk fashion (heh heh!), even if most were taken by just sticking the camera up in the air and hoping for the best! As various reports have said, The Pistols themselves were far better than most people were expecting, and everyone had an absolute blast! All photos HERE

Another Sunday, another West Ham game on Sky!

Went to West Ham to see them play Bolton....not the greatest game, but Bolton were probably worth the draw.

The away support was less than impressive...but it didn't affect Bolton's work rate!

Ford's firework display

Siv and I used our free tickets to go to the Ford's Sports and Social Club firework display for Guy Fawkes night (which should officially be on the 5th). It was pretty good...though the results from my phone's camera doesn't really do them justice!

Weekend with Jo, Jonathan and Daniel

We had a nice weekend over in Surbiton with Jo, Jonathan and Daniel. On the Saturday their friends Becky and Murray were down from Edinburgh and we had some fireworks for Daniel (they're his latest favourite). On the Sunday we went to Kingston to feed the ducks...but as you can see it was mainly swans we were feeding!

Grace's 13th Birthday

Went round to see Grace on her 13th Birthday....she's finally a teenager!! Among her presents was a box set of the entire Friends TV series, plus a giant TV remote control that she'll hopefully be able to find in her room - Hee hee!

Autumn's here....

I've been suffering with ANOTHER cold (my second this autumn, and its only October!), so its been a quiet weekend. Went out in the garden Sunday afternoon to do a bit of tidying up before the winter comes. I managed to cut the grass, and got the last few apples off the tree for apple cake. There's a few plants left in flower, but like the scan of the leaf, most things are on their way out for the year.

An update on the work at Siv's flat

Well after a few days hard work (admirably assisted by Anders, Eva and Johan Arne), we have finally got the flat back to a stage where we can start drying it out before any kind of re-decorationcan start.

As you can see from the new photos and film, basically we're back to the bare bones on all sides (including a red brick wall we never knew we had!). So now its a case of waiting for things to dry out before the next stage.

As you can see from the photo from the bedroom, we've got all mod cons in our new 'hybel', so things aren't that bad!
