Hello Anna Elizabeth!

Well done to Erich and Jeanine on the birth of their baby daughter Anna Elizabeth, born Sept 7th 1:28 a.m. 7 lb 3 oz, 20 inches, and congratulations to the no doubt extremely proud grandparents.

Siv and I flew to Torp and drove onto Drammen where we went to Rita's (slightly early) 40th birthday party. It was a joint party with Rita's friend Trine, the theme was Cowboys for Rita's friends and Indians for Trine's friends. It was a late night with us all getting to bed about 4.30am!

Rita's arrival on horseback was a bit of a surprise, and the mechanical bull was tricky to ride...I lasted only 7 seconds before being unceremoniously dumped onto the crash mat!

August Bank Holiday Weekend

We had everyone over on the Saturday for a barbecue on one of the few decent days of the summer!!

Later in the evening, Millie tracked down a little hedgehog hiding in the bushes...we left it alone and it strolled off into the wilderness.

Of course, there's still lots of insects about at this time of year!

Mill returns to West Ham

Mill went to his first West Ham game for 4 years...we met up in The Spoted Dog before the game...yet even Craig Bellamy's banana boots couldn't save West Ham from a disappointing defeat.

Mill, Katy, Trood, Mike and all the kids stayed with us.

We headed out tp Farstad for an evening with wine and prawns.

We took a trip out to Dovre to see Dagny and Fredrik.

Saturday out in Southend

Travelled down to Southend, to go to a West Ham pre-season friendly against Southend, before going on for a bit of a pub crawl...and the downward spiral of the quality of pubs!

By the end of the night, I think its fair to say we were in slightly less classy pubs.....




It was supposed to be a friendly...but less than 10 minutes into the game things got a bit heated!
