Walk from Mile End to Hackney

As it was a pleasant Autumn day, we went for a walk from Mile End to Hackney. We started with a Coffee and Croissant in The Coffee Room, before walking along the Regent's canal. We got as far a Canal No. 5 for a drink before turning round and heading through Victoria Park towards The Hemingway for a roast dinner.

 

Day out in Leigh with Fi, Grae, Lev and Sarah

We took the train down to Leigh for a day out in Leigh. We met up with Fi, Grae, Lev and Sarah in Old Leigh for lunch in The Crooket Billet. After that we moved on for cocktail in Bocca, before ending up in The Cork Dork. A very pleasant day out.

 

Walk from Havering Country Park to Hainault Forest Country Park

We took a bus down to Matalan in Romford, and from there took the 294/365 route up to Havering Park. From there we did a long walk though the park, passing the redwood trees, and eventually making our way through to Hainault Forest Country Park where we stopped for lunch at the cafe.

 

Day out at Hornchurch v Torquay United

A group of us met in The Upminster Taproom, before moving onto Hornchurch to watch the excellent 2-1 win over Torquay United. A good day out made better by the slightly unexpected win!

 

Lunch over Hainault Country Park

We took mum over Hainault Forest Country Park for lunch again, trying different things on the menu!

 

 

Hornchurch v Bath City

A group of us went to Hornchurch to watch the 0-0 draw against Bath City. A bit of a disappointment to only get a draw, but good fun.

 

Work dinner at Lahore Kebab in Commercial Road

We had a fun night out from work having dinner at The Lahore Kebab, after a couple of pints at The Castle pub.

 

Lunch in Romford

We took mum for lunch at BB's in Romford, where Siv got a big hug from the shopping centre mascot.

 

Northern lights....from the back window!

I managed to get some photos if the Northern lights that were making a brief show over London tonight.

 

Lunch with mum in Southend

We took mum for a trip down to Southend where we had a very nice lunch at The Estuary restaurant.

 

Lunch out over Hainault Forest Country Park and Valentine's Park coffee

We took mum out for lunch over Hainault Forest Country Park, before stopping off at Valentine's Park on the way home for a coffee in the Gardener's Cottage Cafe.

 

Fox in the Garden

We had this fox taking a relaxing rest in the middle of the lawn this afternoon.
