Olympic torch Relay in Thornton Heath

I was given a bit of time off to be the official DNB photographer for Bente Grønning's leg of the Olympic torch relay down in Thornton Heath - What a scrum it was, obviously a popular thing to watch!

Playing with Hedda and a plague of frogs!

While we've been in Oslo we took s few trips out and about, to the local shopping centre (where Hedda had fun in the toy shop), as well as to Mønevann lake, as well as Losby Gods golf course for coffee and waffles. We had quite a few games of Hedda's Hello Kitty butterfly game and jigsaw puzzles. On Sunday we went for a walk to feed the ducks at a nearby pond, and were surprised to see hundreds, if not thousands of tiny frogs nesting in the grass at the edge of the path (watch the video to see how the whole ground was moving)!

Trip to Oslo to see the family and new addition Trym

We're just back from a weekend in Oslo to see the family's new addition Trym. Here he is being held by lots of people!

A trip to Stratford

Laila arrived from Norway this morning, so this afternoon we took a trip to Stratford (which is gearing itself up for the Olympics in under 2 weeks). We had a look at the Olympic park from the viewing gallery in John Lewis (and the Lego stadium as well!), before having a bit of a wander round outside (and the hanging Mini outside the Mini shop).

Up town with Lisa

We've had Lisa staying with us this weekend. on Saturday we took a trip up town to visit some of the old record shops around Oxford Street (yes, some still exist!). We went for lunch at the Pollo bar, where Siv and Lisa, has huge pizzas. Afterwards, we went for a coffee at Bar Italia. We then decided on a long walk back! first heading through Soho and Chinatown, we went over the river to walk along the South Bank (stopping for a drink at the propstore 'pop-up' bar), before carrying on to The Tate Modern and Hays Galleria and finally past St. Olav House, over Tower Bridge (with its Olympic Rings) before finally getting a tube home!

Meeting Trym

On the way home, we were able to stop off at Oslo and meet little Trym with Cathrine, Ståle and Hedda.

The New Kitchen

For the first part of our second week's holiday, Siv's dad drove up from Oslo to help us install the kitchen we'd had delivered from Ikea. He also helped with the flooring as well as the wall tiling panel! It was a busy few days!!

Second Week Holiday in Elnesvågen

We flew back from Mo i Rana to Molde, over the mountains, to spend the second week of our holiday with Siv's Mum and Brother. On the Sunday we had torrential rain which required me to don my waterproofs and clear a bit of a mudslide.
