Walk to Forest Road farm and Fairlop Waters

We went for a walk through Valentine's park for a coffee at the 'new' Gardener's Cottage cafe, before walking on to The Forest Road Farm to see its Xmas display, and buy our tree for the front step. We had a very nice Xmas baguette with a coffee before walking home across Fairlop Waters in the moonlight.

A chilly sunny day in London

It was chilly today, but the sunshine and blue skies made it a lot more pleasant than the grey bleak days we've had recently.

 

Walk through Mile End up to Hackney Wick

On the first (mainly) dry day for a while, we went for a long walk. We started with a coffee and croissant in The Coffee Room at Mile End before walking through Mile End Park and Victoria Park before stopping for a big Sunday Roast at The Lord Napier Star. We walked back the same way as it got more and more gloomy, having to shelter from the inevitable shower!

 

Hornchurch v Enfield

A good turn out today for Hornchurch's 2-0 victory over Enfield, followed by a couple of celebratory drinks in the bar.

 

Lead up to Remembrance Sunday events

In the lead up to Remembrance Sunday, there's a lot of events going on near the Poppy sellers, today Siv saw the Household Cavalry band at Waterloo, while I saw the pipes and drums outside Cannon Street Station.
