West Ham v Leicester

I went to the West Ham v Leicester game , which was the end of the Pellegrini era after yet ANOTHER loss! Before the game there was a nice tribute to Martin Peters who had recently died.

Xmas in Elnesvågen

The Blockheads at the O2 Islington Academy

A large group of us went to see The Blockheads, for our annual Xmas get together. We had a few drinks at The Alma pub (not happy about being charged for a replacement drink when they gave us the wrong one!) in Chapel Market before moving on. Xmas dinner at San Fairie Ann

A group of us went for an Xmas get together and dinner at San Fairie Ann in Southend. A great evening, though the jet lag from Australia was obviously taking it’s toll on Marion’s daughter Hannah!

West Ham v Arsenal

It was a cold night over Stratford to see yet ANOTHER poor West Ham performance. The long queues to get into the stadium (they still haven't worked out security for 60,000 people after 3 years), didn't get the night off to a great start, and there werea lot of empty seats by the end. At least the half time entertainment outside was lively!

Long walk over Fairlop

We took advantage of a sunny morning (after a rainy night) to go for a long walk over Fairlop and into Barkingside for lunch before coming back the same way....a good 3 hours out in the outdoors, which was very nice.

Walk into Ilford through Valentine’s Park

We went for a walk through Valentine’s Park into Ilford for some shopping. On the way back we stopped off in the Gardener’s Cottage Cafe for lunch in some warm winter sun
