A group of us (and a LOT of other people!) persevered though some rainy weather and went to the Leigh Folk Festival (though some of it wasn't that folky), and saw Tenpole Tudor (or a version of it) do the classic 'swords of a thousand men'. Though they didn't do Wunderbar! WE moved on to see some other 'unusual' acts before heading home. On the way back to the station, Ironbeard spotted we were actually following Mr. Tudor Pole back to the Fenchurch Street line.

Walk back through London
After the Pride march, I wandered back along the South Bank, making the most of the rare warm Summer evening, taking some photos as I went.
Pride London
I went into London to watch the Pride London parade...a lot of fun, on a warm day. Lots of extravagant outfits as you might expect. As it was also Armed Forces Day, there wasa slightly unusual break in the middle of the parade when the various armed forces marched along the same route, but were greeted just as enthusiastically as any of the Pride groups, which was a nice touch. A lot of photos were taken, only a sample here, the rest are at::

Trip to see Jo and Jonathan
We traveled over to Jo and Jonathan's new house in Hinchley Wood to see them, Daniel, Miles and the newest member of the family, 12 week old CockerPoo puppy Flash! A very relaxing day spent in the garden before going for a walk at the nature park round the corner from their house before the journey home on the train from Surbiton.
