Sunny trip to see the poppies at the Tower of London

As it was a sunny day, I took a trip down to the poppy display by the Tower of London. However being sunny and half term it was REALLY busy! A bit challenging photographing directly into the Autumn sunshine as well.

West Ham v Manchester City

Not sure if we can all still believe it, but I went with Paul and John to West Ham to watch them beat champions Manchester City 2-1! Quite a day out.

Grace and Maureen's birthdays

We had a get together to celebrate Grace and Maureen's birthdays....for which we had the traditional blowing out of the candles on the cake!

Trip to Ely

Siv and I took a day trip up to Ely to see Caroline and the girls. As Caroline was working, we went out with Frankie and Scarley to Peacock's tearoom for lunch, before having a walk around to see the Ely Apple festival, where I tried the rather firey apple scrumpy with ginger. There was also a number of food stalls and displays including the falconry display with some rather fierce looking birds.

It's always sunny in Bergen

Working for a few days in Bergen, so far the weather has lived up to its reputation here!

Just back from Sarasota

We're just back from 10 days in Sarasota in Florida. We stayed at the usual hotel, the Sandcastle (not Helmsley anymore!). We also visited a lot of our usual haunts (in our Ford Mustang Convertible!) such as Waffle House, Ted Peter's Fish, Punta Gorda and Anna Maria Island. As well as enjoying some sun on the beach (and avoiding the odd storm) chatting to our 'neighbours' Ian and Angus. A few photos and videos are below, but all them are on this link:
