Hedda growing up

Hedda is visiting us in Molde with the others, she's already growing up and is on her feet, and has her own opinions!

Family visiting

While we're up in Molde, Leif, Solveig, Ståle, Cathrine and Hedda have all traveled up to Molde to see everyone. We've had a couple of large family dinners in the newly redecorated living room in Siv's flat.

Building projects - Decking

We're up in Molde visiting Siv's Mum and brother. While we're here we're building a new deck, after the previous one had to be ripped up for the building work done to the drainage outside that was causing the damp INSIDE.

Day out at West Ham

A Sunday out to watch West Ham play Spurs. Sadly, Carlton Cole went from hero to zero after scoring a screamer, before playng a terrible back pass for Spurs to equalise. Fortunately the good late Summer weather helped take the sting out of the result. There was even some time for Siv and I to enjoy a bit of the sun in the garden.

The result took its toll on some by The Spotted Dog.

Meet up in town

There was a good turn out at The Magpie on Thursday night, and with decent weather, we were able to be outside all evening.

Goodbye Pinky....

With £2000 on offer for the scrappage of old cars, we're soon saying goodbye to an old friend to get a new Hyundai i30. Here's a little farewell that you'd have to have a heart of stone not to shed a tear.....

Meet up in London

We met up with Marit, Karin, Jo, Jonathan, Daniel and Miles in London as Marit is over visiting. We all met up for lunch in Canteen behind the Royal Festival Hall. The weather was pretty good, and we all had a nice time before Jo, Jonathan and the boys went off to the aquarium. The Norwegian contingent all headed off to Covent Garden and further on into The West End!

10th Wedding Anniversary Barcelona Trip

Siv and I are just back from a weekend in Barcelona, celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. It was a great place to go,and the weather was hot and sunny, despite the weather people forecasting rain.

We arrived on Friday, and spent the afternoon settling in, with a trip up and down the Ramblas, and after a tour of the gothic quarter, where we saw a well known street band Entribu, we had some tapas in a tapas bar called Colon (which is apparently Christopher Columbus' REAL name). Later that evening we went for a celebratory meal at the Xaica restaurant near our hotel, complete with Creme Catalan and Cava.

On Saturday, as you can see from the first map, was a huge Gaudi walk up to Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia church. We stopped of for some food en route at a small restaurant, before heading back to town. Initially we thought we were going to have a quick drink, then go home and shower and go out again....as it turned out, we had such a good time at the Colon tapas bar, we were out till 2.00 am chatting to a family on holiday from Malaga.

On Sunday, we took another long (though not quite as long as Saturday's 22 mile epic) walk to Casa Mila (another Gaudi house), before having an ice cream in the Parc Joan Miro, and then heading up to Montjuic Park. After some lunch at Xemei restaurant, we headed back to town via the breathtaking cable cars, that take you down to the beach. We spent some time walking along the boardwalk, before finally heading back and changing.

A final evening at our second home The Colon rounded off the weekend, and soon it was Monday morning with just enough time for a brief bit of shopping before heading home. There were still many things we never got round to doing, so look forward to going back soon! Update - we're going back in October!
