New Year's Eve at Paul and Anne's

For New Year's Eve, we went to see Paul,Anne and the boys, along with Fi, Grae and Harvey as well as Ann and Ed. Everyone had a great time, staying up well past midnight and seeing in the New Year in good spirits.

Going home....

Well its time to head back to the UK....on the drive to the airport in Molde, we got this dramatic sunset. Also, during the couple of hours stopover in Oslo, we were able to meet up for a while with Cathrine, Ståle and Hedda, who all seem to be doing well!

Katrine, Ronny and Sanne....Then Eli and Aqui visit us!

Today we had Katrine, Ronny and Sanne pay us a visit, and later in the day, Eli popped in with her new dog Aqui!

Trip to May-Britt, Terje and Selia

Later in the afternoon, we moved onto May-Britt, Terje and Selia. After a few minutes of being shy, Selia was soon back to her normal self, performing Hanah Montana songs for everybody!

Trip to Laila and Co.

Siv and I took a trip out to see Laila, Anders, Lisa and Grid. Grid was wearing her santa outfit for a while, before Lisa and I had a go on Singstar Abba.

Xmas day brunch

As is traditional, on Xmas day, Eva came down for brunch, and was joined soon after by Anton Inge.They both stayed for a while, helping us get through some of the Xmas food!

Julaften

Julaften (Dec 24th) is the big day in Norway, when you have your Xmas dinner and get your presents. Here I am with my Nisse hat, distributing the presents (my hat says 'God Jul').

Here we are settling down to Xmas dinner of Ribbe, with potatoes, Sauerkraut, red cabbage, brussel sprouts, and mashed swede.

Trip to Marina's

Siv and I took a trip over to Marina's where Dennis and Benjamin were in high Christmas spirits!

A bit of a White Christmas

We've had a bit of snow here in Fraena, maybe it'll stick around long enough to give us a white Christmas.

Party at Marie's

It was the annual get together at Marie's last night, everyone seemed to have a good time, singing a few songs (badly) and getting in the Xmas spirit.

Waiting for my flight to Oslo, my plane was parked next to an Airbus A380...made my plane look like a toy!

Siv's girlie night

Siv had the girlies round for a pre-xmas party in the refurbished flat, before a group of them headed down to Cafe Gossip...sadly nobody took a camera...and it looks like its a bit of a blur!

Stampede!

I'm assuming this is real, but Rick sent me this video he'd received of some people out fishing hoping to catch sight of some dolphins and encountering a 'Mega-Pod'!

Another Holland Park Avenue Crash!

This morning there was another crash with one car coming out of Holland Park Avenue, unable to see down the road, and someone coming up Aldborough Road South crashing into them.

We've reported this numerous times to the local Council that people are allowed to park too close to the junction...but do they do anything about it?

Siv brought the woman and young child in out of the rain while we waited for the police and Ambulance to arrive (who were there pretty quickly).

DnBNOR Xmas Party

It was the DnBNOR Xmas party on Thursday at The Baker's Hall in London. Due to a mix up we found out late that no dancing was allowed there, so a late entry for entertainment was a Nativity play by the management as well as Karaoke.

The karaoke was untouched until good ol' Martin got up and belted out a few Madonna numbers....by the end of the night there were more people singing than watching! The video below is a short excerpt from 30 minutes of torture I filmed!!

IBIS Xmas get together

There was an IBIS get together at The Pavillion End on Wednesday. It was a pretty good turn out, with about 40 or 50 people there in the course of the evening. Sadly I forgot to take a proper camera, so I only took this lo-fi video from my phone.

To borrow a line from Noddy Holder, Christmas is starting to get into full swing, so we spent today putting up a lot of the Xmas decorations and nick-nacks to give the house a festive feeling.
