Weekend in Saffham with Liv and Richard

We spent the weekend in Swaffham with Liv and Richard. The unseasonable mild weather meant we were able to get out and about. Arriving Friday we had dinner followed by a few drinks in The Greyhound, with the gang there. On Saturday we took a trip around the market place with its stalls and auction, after which we jumped on a bus and spent the afternoon in King's Lynn. Coming back we went for a few drinks followed by a curry at The Spice of Swaffham. After breakfast on Sunday we spent the day in Sunny Hunny (Hunstanton), before heading home. Another Sunday trip over Valentine's Park

The unseasonably warm weather continued this weekend, allowing us to go over Valentine's Park for a walk and a coffee and a cake in the Gardener's Cottage Cafe, as well as checking up on the chipmunks.

Trip over Valentine's Park

We went for a long walk over Valentine's Park today, where there's a slight sign of Spring appearing. We stopped for coffee and a cake at the Gardener's Cottage Cafe before walking home the long way past Oaks Lane.

Visitors from Norway

Edgar, Even, Ina and Jørgen were over this weekend to celebrate Edgar's 60th. On the Friday, they took a trip out to ours for dinner, a very pleasant time catching up again.

Hornchurch v Corinthian Casuals

I went with a few of the lads to Watch Hornchurch play Corinthian Casuals, which Hornchurch won 3-0. I am in the background as the first goal went in from a fee kick, standing on 'Has-been hill', at the end of the game there was a huge fight on the pitch for some reason which went on for about 10 minutes! After the game we headed to The Junction to Watch England beat Ireland in the Six Nations rugby. The goals from the Hornchurch game are all online here:

Trip to Ely for Scarley's 18th Birthday

We took a trip up to Ely to celebrate Scarley's 18th birthday with a lunch at The old Fire Engine house.

Siv's day out in London

Siv went out with the girls on Saturday for lunch at The Crusting Pipe, later on moving on to The Waldorf for cocktails.

Christmas in Norway

We're just back from a week in Molde celebrating Xmas with Siv's Mum and Brother. The usual 'Little Christmas Eve' showing of Dinner for one at Marie's, plus Christmas dinner and bubble and squeak on Boxing day for food made for a relaxing time.

Walk to Barkingside for pie and mash

After last night's fun and games, I took a walk over Fairlop to make the most of the sunny morning and headed on to Barkingside for some pie and mash in Danny's.

Blockheads gig in Islington

A group of us went to the Islington Assembly hall for our traditional pre-Xmas trip to see the Blockheads, having a few drinks in The York and The Taproom beforehand. A good night out as usual.

Xmas trolley and drinks at work

The re-introduced the drinks trolley at work this year with Terje and Luke doing the distribution honours, followed by some drinks in the Dog and Duck, a nice way to wind down before the Xmas holiday.
