We took a trip to along The Regent'sCanal to Hackney to visit a couple of new places (starting with a coffee at The Coffee Room in Mile Emd). First was Hackney City Farm, where we stopped to see the animals and had a drink outside at Fizzante Restaurant.
Making our way back along the Canal, we then walked through Hackney Village to visit The Kenton, which we discovered recently is run by Egil, a Norwegian from Voss, due to the recent media coverage about them banning children due to them being unsupervised by parents.
We hadd a good chat with Egil, and stayed on for a pizza to be delivered to the pub. Some photos are below, the rest of the day's photos are here:
With a bit more settled dry weather finally arriving, we took our first trip to Hainault Forest for a long time, stopping for lunch at The Halfway Hut.
A large group of us went to Ambergate in Derbyshire for the weekend, and took in some walks as well as train journey's to Matlock Bath and Matlock, where we managed to take in a Matlock Town v Dunston Match. A few photos are below, the rest are here:
