Hackney Walk to Hackney City Farm and The Kenton Arms

We took a trip to along The Regent'sCanal to Hackney to visit a couple of new places (starting with a coffee at The Coffee Room in Mile Emd). First was Hackney City Farm, where we stopped to see the animals and had a drink outside at Fizzante Restaurant.
Making our way back along the Canal, we then walked through Hackney Village to visit The Kenton, which we discovered recently is run by Egil, a Norwegian from Voss, due to the recent media coverage about them banning children due to them being unsupervised by parents.
We hadd a good chat with Egil, and stayed on for a pizza to be delivered to the pub. Some photos are below, the rest of the day's photos are here:

I took a trip over Hornchurch to see them lose 0-1 to Hemel Hempstead. Not a good result but a nice sunny day to be out.

Walk in Hackney with Mill and Katy

We went for what seems to have become our annual walk with Mill and Katy when they are over from Canada. This time we started as usual in The Coffee Room in Mile End before walking along The Regent's Canal to Victoria Park, stopping off for a drink at The Royal Inn on the Park. We carried on into Hackney Village before heading to The Lord Napier Star for some food before heading home.
