Ingvlld and Jose over for a visit

Ingvild and Jose were over for a short visit. On the Friday we did a canal walk from Mile End to Camden before a dinner at O Tino. On the Saturday we took a trip to Wanstead for dinner at The Nightingale on the Green. A few photos are below, the rest are here:

Day out at Southwark Park for Norwegian National Day Celebrations

We went to Southwark Park to take part in the celebrations for Norwegian National Day. It was a good day out with good weather, we took part in the 'train' walk around the park as well as having hot dogs and waffles while listening to the various music entertainment on the bandstand. Bat in the garden

It's good to see our friendly neighbourhood bat doing the rounds again this summer.

 

Lunch at Little Olive for Mum's 90th Birthday

We went up to Little Olive for a lunch to celebrate Mum's 90th Birthday, good food and chat as always!

 

Walk from Havering Country Park to Hainault Forest Country Park

We took a bus down to Matalan in Romford, and from there took the 294/365 route up to Havering Park. From there we did a long walk though the park, passing the redwood trees, and eventually making our way through to Hainault Forest Country Park where we stopped for lunch at the Half Way Hut on the golf course, then carrying onto the cafe where we had a muffin and a coffee before heading home.
