Barbecue at Fi and Grae's

As Fi's Mum and Dad were visiting from Scotland, Fi and Grae invited a few of us round for a barbecue. Thankfully the rain held off, though it got a bit chilly in the evening, so a rather smokey firepit was lit, which was also used to heat up some of Phil's Vietnamese 'weasel poo' coffee.

Lunch to celebrate Mum and Russell's Birthdays

We went for lunch at Due Fratelli in Hornchurch to celebrate Mum and russell's recent Birthdays. Unfortunately Russell had hurt his neck and couldn't attend, but the rest of us sat in the strangely quiet restaurant whiling away a few hours.

Round Steve and Tracey's for a barbecue

On Sunday, we met up with Katy and Trudie and family around Steve and Tracey's for a very enjoyable barbecue in the sun.

A walk towards Brick Lane for a curry

As the evening at the Founder's Arms drew to a close, a group of us walked back along the Southbank towards London Bridge, where we hopped into taxis to take us to Brick Lane for a curry, before finally heading home.

Up in town for Katy's 50th birthday

We met up in town on the Southbank at the Founder's Arms, to celebrate Katy's 50th Birthday, while she's over from Canada. It was a great day, with the weather improving and a lovely sunny evening. Below are a selection of photos and a video, as well as a link to the album holding all the photos.

Barcelona trip with Cathrine and Ståle

We're just back from a weekend away in Barcelona with Cathrine and Ståle. We had a great time heading around our usual haunts...the weather was good as well! Cathrine and Ståle went on Sunday to the Spanish Grand Prix, but Siv and I just took a leisurely walk around town.
