Onkel's 80th Birthday Party

We headed from Molde to Oslo, to stay with Siv's family for a night before flying up to Bardufoss and heading onto Finnsnes for Siv's Onkel Per's 80th Birthday Party. we were even lucky enough to get a brief display of The Northern Lights! Some photos are below, and the rest are here:

Xmas in Molde

We spent Xmas in Molde with Siv's Mum and Brother, a lot of the usual traditions, Freddie Frinton with Dinner for one and Askpeott (Cinderella) on TV, as well as ribbe for dinner. We also had friends around on Xmas day, and went for a Karaoke party on Boxing day at Arnfinn's.

We met up with Fi, Grae, Bernie and Roger at The Boat Yard restaurant in Old Leigh for a pre-Xmas get-together. A great time chatting with everyone, where we were treated to a spectacular sunset. 

West Ham v Arsenal

I went to West Ham today, to watch them get torn apart by Arsenal, not a great game, at least we had some fun before the game watching England win at Rugby in The Langthorne pub.

Chase Manhattan Reunion

A great turn out out for the annual Chase Manhattan Reunion at The Old Doctor Butler's Head. Great to see such a big attendance!

Laurie's 70th Birthday

It's Laurie's 70th Birthday! The oldest RPG programmer in London I'll guess.

Walk over Fairlop Waters

As it was a bright day on Saturday, we decided to make the most of it by going for a walk up to Fairlop Waters to enjoy the countryside before the bad weather set in.

Long walk over Fairlop Water

Making the most of the good Sunday weather (after a very dreary Saturday), we went up to Fairlop Water for a long walk. We went past the memorial for the old WW2 airfield, and as it was remembrance Sunday we went to see the poppies laid at the memorial and noticed that one is presented by the Norwegian Embassy in memory of Jens Herman Gran which was nice to see. We had a coffee outside the Cafe at the Activity Centre before heading back and continuing our walk down through Seven King's Park.

Holiday in Philadelphia

We headed from Sarasota to Philadelphia to visit Liz, Rick and the family. We had a great weekend with them all, on the Saturday there was a big party where everybody got together. On Sunday evening we went to The Victor Cafe where opera students are the waiters - Very different! We then got an Uber cab home with a taxi driver who had studied economics in Oslo!

On Monday before heading home we visited Longwood Gardens to enjoys the flowers and Autumn colours.
