Snowy day!

It's been a very snowy day today, but a bit of sunshine in between causing icicles to form outside our office windows.

Trip to Borth

Siv and I took a trip down to Borth to see Trudie, Mike, Joe and Eric. We travelled down on Friday night and had dinner at Libanus 1877. On Saturday we went for a walk along the seafront before going to watch Borth reserves play football (a 2-2 draw with Machynlleth), before heading our for a few drinks at The Friendship Inn for a True Tales story session.

Trip to Oslo

I had to travel to Oslo for a meeting, so we decided to make a weekend of it, and visited family while we were over.

Eagles win the Superbowl!

About 15 years after foolishly buying an Eagles wristband and saying I'd wear it until they won the Superbowl, I can finally retire it, after their 41-33 win over The New England Patriots.

Walk over Fairlop Waters

 We went for a long walk over Fairlop Waters today, enjoying a bit of sunshine and seeing the first signs of spring appearing.

Weekend with Trudie and Eric staying

Trudie and Eric were in London for the weekend to go on a West Ham stadium tour, before the West Ham v Bournemouth game. They traveled down Friday evening and stayed with us before the cold and wet game on the Saturday.

Walk up to Barkingside and Fairlop Waters

We went for a walk up to Barkingside for lunch today at Marino's Cafe, as well as doing a bit of shopping before heading home through Fairlop Waters....enjoying a bit of afternoon sunshine.

Walk over Seven Kings Park

We went out to do some shopping today, and after coming back, we went for a walk over Seven Kings Park to take in the sunset.

New Year's Eve Party at Fi and Grae's

A group of us got together in Westcliff at Fi and Grae's to see the new year in.

Walk over Fairlop Waters

We went for a walk over Fairlop Waters and into Barkingside for some lunch today, nice to get out for some fresh air!

Xmas in Elnesvågen

We're just back from spending a week in Elnesvågen for Christmas. We had some very seasonal snow on Christmas day which was nice (though took time to clear!), as well as a trip to see Marie and family. A few photos are below, while a few more are here:

Sunday trip up to Ely

On a snowy Sunday, we took a trip up to Ely to see Caroline, Frankie and Scarley....not forgetting Justin and Daisy! The drive up was quite slow due to the conditions, but coming home was a lot quicker, after a very nice shepherd's pie for lunch.

Blockheads Xmas party

A group of us headed up to Islington Assembly Hall, for our annual Xmas get-together to see The Blockheads. We went for a drink before and after the gig at The Hope and Anchor....a good night out, despite the chilly weather!
