An afternoon walk over Valentine's Park

We spent a couple of hours over Valentine's Park, going for a walk and a coffee with carrot cake. Lots of wild life to see again, and with so many ducklings, goslings and Cygnets around even a fox was prowling the edge of the lake during daytime. Some photos are below, all of them are here:

Green Woodpecker in the garden

I came home from work to see a female Green Woodpecker bouncing around the garden feeding, I managed a few shots from the kitchen window before she flew off.

We went over to valentine's Park to go to the Redbridge Green Fair, a fun day out enjoying some better than expected weather! A mixture of stalls and music of all kinds (from folk to Prog Rock!).

Comicon!

A group of us went to The London Comicon at The Excel centre. A LOT of people there, but a good fun day out, and after 29 years, I finally got Dave Gibbons to sign my copy of Watchmen, to match the signature of writer Alan Moore I got all those years ago. A lot of photos were taken a few are below, but the rest are here:

Heron in Seven Kings Park

Walking through Seven Kings Park, I noticed a heron walking along the bank of  Seven Kings Water, he didn't hang around long though.

Sunday Morning Over Valentine's Park

We took advantage of a sunny morning to head over Valentine's PArk and see the wildlife again. The Goslings seem to be losing their down and getting proper feathers, and a parent swan was very protective to the Cygnet following along, chasing away any other birds that came close. There is also a Chipmunk enclosure by the cafe as well now, one of which is an albino!
