Tavel to Old Leigh and Benfleet

After the bike ride finished, I walked back through London, to get the Fenchurch Street line down to Leigh on Sea to meet up for a drink in the Smack Inn. After this a few of us headed to The Anchor in Benfleet to see Rob Monger's band The Fadeouts, before heading home.

Trip to London for World Naked Bike Ride

I met up with Dave for a walk around London, and take in the World Naked Bike Ride again. The usual mix of fancy dress and body paint was involved. Although a bit cold, at least it stayed dry! A few photos are below, the rest are here:

Siv's trip to see Rod Stewart in Wolverhampton

Siv went with Fi, Anne and Yvonne to Wolverhampton, to see Rod Stewart in concert. A fun trip away, they had a picnic on the train on the way up, before checking into The Brittania hotel. After lunch at The Grain Store, they headed off to Molyneux stadium for a great concert again by Sir Rod.

Out for a walk to Ilford shopping and doing gardening

It's been the warmest day of the year today! We went shopping in Ilford (and posed with the new Owl wood statue made from the stump of a diseased tree that was cut down), and did some gardening in the afternoon....there were plenty of busy bees in the garden!!

Holiday in Alanya, Turkey with Eli and Jan

We're just back from a holiday in Turkey with Eli and Jan. A very relaxing holiday, with plenty of time spent on the beach and by the pool. A few of the photos are below, the rest are here:

Walk over Fairlop and some gardening

We went for a walk over Fairlop today and had a picnic and a coffee at the boat house despite it being a bit chilly! We saw some kids playing on the new Aqua Bounce aqua park on  the lake which looked like fun! When we came home, we did some gardening which brought a pair of Robins out looking for food in the areas I'd cleared.

Meeting up with Lise in town

We met up with Lise after work for a drink and some food at Cote Brasserie in St. Katharine Docks. Some rainy clouds made for some nice skies.
