Another trip to Fairlop Waters

Making the most of the record September weather, we took another trip up to Fairlop Waters for a wander around and see the wildlife.

Trip up to Fairlop Waters

Siv and I took advantage of the continuing warm weather to take a walk up to Fairlop Waters. A very nice sunset and some wildlife made for a relaxing walk.

Day out in Valentines Park

We took the chance to enjoy a late summer's day in Valentines Park. We headed to the Gardeners' Cottage Cafe where we found the Redbridge Music Lounge had set up for one of their regular gigs, and so spent a pleasant few hours in the sun listening to different bands like The Crayon Angels and The Travelling Tilburys). 

If you look to the right of the line of seagulls, you'll notice a sneaky turtle/terrapin in the picture which the local Park authority have told me get released by owners into the wild when they don't want to look after them anymore.

West Ham v Watford

A day out to watch a disappointing West Ham game against Watford. Despite that we had a good day out with a couple of drinks before the game at the King Edward, then afterwards at the Carpenters Arms and the Builders Arms.

Out in town with Trudie and family

We went up town to meet Trudie, Mike, Eric, Steve and Tracey up town. We started off with a couple of drinks in Kings Stores, before moving onto Spitalfields market and dinner in Giraffe. A fun night out with lots of laughs.

Frankie's 18th Birthday Party

We took the train up to Cambridge to go to Frankie's 18th Birthday party at Jamie's Italian. A fun night catching up with everyone, and having some of frankie's Birthday rowing cake!

Trip to Gjøvik to see Eli, Jan and Family

We're just back from a pleasant weekend in Gjøvik, visiting Eli, Jan and the family. A very nice time catching up on things, and getting out and about enjoying a bit of late summer sunshine. A few photos are below, the rest are here:
