Siv and I took advantage of the continuing warm weather to take a walk up to Fairlop Waters. A very nice sunset and some wildlife made for a relaxing walk.
If you look to the right of the line of seagulls, you'll notice a sneaky turtle/terrapin in the picture which the local Park authority have told me get released by owners into the wild when they don't want to look after them anymore.
We went up town to meet Trudie, Mike, Eric, Steve and Tracey up town. We started off with a couple of drinks in Kings Stores, before moving onto Spitalfields market and dinner in Giraffe. A fun night out with lots of laughs.
We took the train up to Cambridge to go to Frankie's 18th Birthday party at Jamie's Italian. A fun night catching up with everyone, and having some of frankie's Birthday rowing cake!
We're just back from a pleasant weekend in Gjøvik, visiting Eli, Jan and the family. A very nice time catching up on things, and getting out and about enjoying a bit of late summer sunshine. A few photos are below, the rest are here:
