A bit of wildlife in the garden

The better weather seems to have brought out a bit of wildlife again, and we've had regular visits from the squirrels and the baby robin in the garden.

Over Valentine's Park and in The Garden

After weeks of cloudy, cold and wet weather, a bit of warmth this weekend, so we headed over the park (where the lake was being dredged for weeds) as well as doing bits and pieces in the garden. A few photos below, the rest are here:

Baby Robin in the garden

A young Robin was following me around the garden today, I'm assuming it was a young one given the patchy grey and red feathers.

Squirrel in the garden

This squirrel seemed happy to find the sunflower seeds I spilled when refilling the bird feeders in our back garden.

Trip over Valentine's Park

After a rainy start to Sunday, it finally brightened up mid-afternoon, giving us a bit of time to take a trip over Valentine's Park for a walk and a coffee and cake. A lot going on over there with cricket matches and Wedding photos plus some Country and Western music by the Cafe. All the usual wildlife was there as well, with the chipmunks being particularly hungry.

A walk over Valentine's Park

Making the most of one of the few warm, sunny-ish days this summer, we went over Valentine's Park for a walk, catching up with a a lot of the wildlife. The Geese, ducks and swans are all growing up now. We stopped off for a coffee at the Gardener's Cottage Cafe to see that they had a BBQ, so we had a hot dog each and watched the world go by for a couple of hours. Some photos are below, the rest are here:

Cricket over Fords Sports and Social club

I looked out of the back window to see a crisket game taking pace over Fords Sports and Social club being played under a very dramatic sky.
