As Carol and myself are retiring at the end of the month, we had a department dinner out. We had a couple of drinks in The Town of Ramsgate, before heading on for a dinner in Smith's.
With Siv safely home from Norway, we went for a walk on a sunny morning retracing some of my steps from yesterday. We stopped for a first coffee in Hackney Wick at HWK. We then moved on to Hackney village and via London Fields to Broadway Market to buy lunch in L’eau à La Bouche and ate it by the Regent's Canal. We walked back through Victoria Park and watched a bit of a frisbee match before having a quick drink in The Palm Tree, before heading to Mile End station and home.
I went out on a foggy morning for a walk. Starting Stratford and walking over to Hackney and onto Broadway market for lunch by The Regent's Canal. Heading home to Mile End I got a call from Solly at work who had a spare ticket for the sold out Orient v Charlton game which I went to.
