Valentine's Park and in the garden

We went for a walk over Valentine's Park this morning for a coffee, and to see some of the new arrivals there, before heading back to have dinner in the garden with Liv and Richard where a rather brazen squirrel was tucking into the nut feeder behind us.

Walk up to Barkingside and Fairlop Waters

We walked up to Barkingside for a late lunch, passing through Fairlop Waters. A lot of wildlife on show with butterflies and damselflies everywhere. Walking back we bought some plants at the Railway Nursery, before stopping off for a drink at The Boatyard at Fairlop Waters, before heading home. Garden Party

We had a garden party and invited Anne, Paul, Bernie, Roger, Fi, Grae and Harvey round.....on the hottest day of the year we were able to sit out all night. a very pleasant day.

It was a warm Friday night today, so we took some food up to Fairlop Waters for a picnic taking in the sun and all the activity on the lake, as well as the wildlife of course.

Long Walk to Fairlop Waters and Valentine's Park

Nina has been staying with us for the weekend, and as it was another sunny day today we went for a long walk first up to Fairlop Waters and into Barkingside for lunch, before heading off to Valentine's Park to see the Redbridge music lounge playing music in the Gardeners cottage Cafe, and spotting the swans' nest has 7 eggs in it! Night out in Leigh on Sea

After the day out in London, I traveled down to Leigh to see Kev who is over from Australia.  We went to the Mayflower to see a band. Due to my photo equipment, people though I was the local press, some demanding random photos!



Viewing level of The Tate

After the Bike Ride, Dave and I headed up to the viewing level of The Tate for the views over London, passing by a statue of Twiggy with Terence Donovan who had a studio nearby.
