As Good Friday was forecast to be the only decent day this Easter, we took the opportunity to drive down to Maldon (home of the world famous salt!) with Mum and Dad for a day out.
Out of the wind, the sun was very pleasant, and we stopped for a coffee break, before a walk around the town, stopping for a drink at The Sunny Sailor on the edge of town before making our way back.
Arriving back in the centre (where we'd hoped to have some dinner) we decided to head home as The Hythe area was starting to get a bit overcrowded (everyone making the most of the one good day!), taking a scenic route back, we stopped off for dinner at The Duke of Wellington in Hatfield Peverel.
