Woodpecker in the garden

This morning we woke up to see this green woodpecker hopping around in the garden, feeding on insects (hence his muddy beak!).

Xmas Day Dinner

Here we are at Russell atnd Maureen's for Xmas dinner. Guess who had to be photoshopped in! After dinner we opened the rest of our Xmas presents....even Millie got some presents!

Season's Greetings

As we're stranded here in the UK due to the snow affecting our flights to Norway, here we are settling down to celebrating Xmas at home this year with Vince's family.

Fox in the garden

We woke up this morning to see this fox sitting in the garden. Once he spotted us photographing him, he soon headed off into the trees.

The road to nowhere....

Siv was supposed to be heading home to Norway for Xmas today. However, due to the 'adverse weather conditions' in the UK today, we got to Heathrow, but after a few hours it became obvious not a lot was going to happen as they shut the airport....so began the long journey home. When we did get home we saw how much snow we had in out garden, only about 3 inches, but enough to make the Country grind to a halt!

Impressive frost patterns this morning

With the cold temperatures and a bit of snow, there were some impressive frost patterns on the conservatory window this morning.

DnBNOR Xmas Party

It was the DnBNOR Xmas Party on Tuesday night. It was at Clause in Lovat Lane, and everyone seemed to have a good time! I left at 11.00pm, though some people carried on until the early hours of the morning...Not good on a Tuesday night!

Lise and Henny in town

Siv met up with Lise and her friend Henny who were in town for a few days. On Saturday afternoon they went to a concert of Benjamin Britten Carols at St. Paul's Cathedral. After that, I met up with them (having just watched West Ham lose to Manchester City). We Then went to the Spaghetti House in Covent Garden, before going for a few drinks at The Crown in Seven Dials. As we walked in we noticed that everyone was dressed in Santa outfits. It turns out this was a break away group from the main SantaCon 2010! After a few drinks Lise and Henny headed back to their hotel, and Siv and I got a tube home.

Celebrating Dad's Birthday

To celebrate Dad's birthday on Friday, we went to The Village Bar and Grill in Hornchurch for lunch. We had a very nice time, though unfortunately Maureen couldn't make it due to a bad cough - There's a lot of it about!

Down at Fi and Grae's for an early Xmas celebration

A group of us went down to see Fi and Grae for an early Xmas celebration. Grae cooked a huge Turkey, while Bernie brought the potatoes, and Anne made the desserts!

Barcelona - Last day

We had another stroll down to the beach Sunday morning, walking past Mariscal's lobster to see the surfers on the beach (see the end of the videos for that), and having a chilly coffee sitting by the beach at Buenas Migas.

Barcelona - Saturday night out

On Saturday night, we went for a stroll around The Gothic Quarter, stopping off for some cocktails at Las Cuevas del Sorte, made by the friendly barman Alexandros.
